The Orphan Care fund will hold a special event to commemorate World Orphans AIDS Day together with the organization From HIV to Home. All proceeds from the walk-athon event “Kids Walking Kids Home” will benefit Haregewoin Teferra's children, many of which are HIV+.
All of the proceeds of the walk will go towards the Orphan Care fund set up for Haregewoin Teferra's kids!! Mrs. Teferra passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. She left behind many children in her care. 42 of them are HIV+.
Here’s how it works. You and your children will spend a couple weeks collecting donations for the walk. On May 7th we will meet at Lindenwood Park, and after our picnic we will have our walk! It’s that easy! The more people we have, the more fun it will be and the more empowered our children will feel! If you are unable to attend the walk, but would still like to donate, awesome!!( send me an email-niandowen@yahoo.com, I will be able to send you, or give you a tax-deductible receipt!!)
