'Home is Where You Find It' Screening and Panel Discussion

On May 7, 2010, in recognition of World AIDS Orphans Day, the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University is hosting a screening of “Home is Where You Find It.” The film will run from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Room FXB-G12. NextAid partners with Flux Summit, prepares for Beats Build Hope auction kicking off May 7th

Our favorite non-profit partner NextAid, an organization that uses the power of dance music to affect change in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa, will launch its 3rd Annual Online Auction BIDS BUILD HOPE in honor of World AIDS Orphans Day. Kicking off on May 7th, 2010 and closing on May 31st, BIDS BUILDS HOPE will raise awareness and funds for NextAid’s projects in Kenya and South Africa. Auction items reflect NextAid’s strong foundation within the dance music community and commitment to sustainable and “green living.” Read full story >

Hope on the Ground: A community conversation in honor of World AIDS Orphans Day

The Portland Area Global AIDS Coalition along with OHSU Global Health Center, University of Oregon and other important community partners will host an information fair and a panel discussion and reception in honor of World AIDS Orphans Day on May 7th from 6 to 9pm at the White Stag Building in NW Portland. Stephen Lewis to Speak in Portland for World AIDS Orphans Day
