Association François-Xavier Bagnoud - FXB International is an international non-profit organization supporting the world’s orphans and vulnerable children left in the wake of AIDS and poverty. FXB established World AIDS Orphans Day in 2002 and has been a leader in championing the rights of vulnerable children.

Based on the principle that health and human rights are inextricably linked, FXB has worked since 1989 to protect and save the lives of hundreds of thousands of children orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS and poverty.  FXB has nearly 100 programs in 18 countries and a staff of 400 locally recruited employees dedicated to restoring children's dignity and well-being by providing stability, health, and education.

FXB carries the name of François-Xavier Bagnoud, a helicopter pilot specialized in rescue operations, who dedicated his life to providing assistance to others. He lost his life at the age of 24 during a helicopter-borne mission in Mali. In 1989, his mother Albina du Boisrouvray, his family, and their friends founded the Association François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) in order to pursue, in the field of development, the values of generosity and compassion that guided his life. Countess Albina du Boisrouvray founded World AIDS Orphans Day in order to bring everyday citizens, organizations and government leaders together to highlight and take action for AIDS orphans and the millions of vulnerable children.

Albina and FXB also founded the FXB Center at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
